"Brake for this show. One of the most strongly spoken productions I have seen in some time. I was howling with laughter through much of the play. Uhry's play, is not only hilarious but also very touching as the relationship between Daisy Werthan and Hoke Coleburn deepens through the decades. American Stage has cast Driving Miss Daisy wonderfully well, with Ann Morrison as the formidable widow and Bob Devin Jones as the resourceful chauffeur."
- John Fleming, St. Petersburg Times
"Yet another must-see American Stage production, both for the performances and the rich content of Uhry's play...Steve Garland, Bob Devin Jones and Ann Morrison more than honored Uhry's tender story with their outstanding performances...flawless."
- Kathy L. Greenberg, Tampa Tribune
"Driving Miss Daisy offers a message that resonates. It is filled with bright, witty dialogue and punctuated by poignant, sentimental scenes. Ann Morrison achieves through her superb acting skills the kind of realism that many Hollywood stars can only portray through makeup or computer-generated imagery. Bob Devin Jones timing is flawless and hearing him verbalize Uhry's lines is engrossing. Director T. Scott Wooten helms a truly captivating production."
- Lee Clark Zumpe, Tampa Bay Newspaper
"One could hardly ask for a better version. Charming, potent, delightful and lovely. Ann Morrison plays Daisy and she's wonderful...Bob Devin Jones is superb...T. Scott Wooten's emotionally persuasive direction finds every nuance in Uhry's dialogue, and Tom Hansen's fine set, which puts Daisy's home, Boolie's office, and a car (two benches) on stage at once, is just about perfect."
- Mark Leib, Creative Loafing
