Summer Camp - Enroll On-Line

American Stage Summer Camp enables students ages 5-17 to express their creativity through performance.   With a focus on ensemble building and self-discovery, campers discover joy through the arts.  We have a variety of camps available all under the guidance of a highly trained staff of professional artists. 

Summer Camp meets Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm.  Pre-Care and After-Care are available.  Classrooms are broken down into age groups of 5-7, 8-11, and 12-17. 

All camps are $150 per week.  However, Making Marvelous Musicals Camp is $500 for four weeks.  Pre-Care is $25 per week and After-Care is $50 per week.  A $25 sibling discount is available for families with multiple children enrolled.

Summer Camp 2010

Session I:  June 14-18
Drama-Rama, Dr. Seuss! (for students 5-11)
Learn the basics of theatre while creating your own production for family and friends utilizing a Dr. Seuss theme.

Intro to Acting (for students 12-17)
Teens will spend the week learning the basics of acting while creating a showcase for family and friends.

Session II:  June 21-25
Puppetry Fun (for students 5-11)
Spend the week creating your very own puppets and a script to star them in.

 Scene Study (for students 12-17)
Teens will take the next step in their acting training by spending the week exploring in-depth scene study.

Session III:  June 28-July 2
Comedy and Clowning (for students 5-11)
Spend the week learning the basics of comedy and clowning.

Sketch Comedy (for students 12-17)
Teens will learn the art of the short sketch and create a showcase for family and friends.

Session IV:  July 5-30
Making Marvelous Musicals (for students 5-17)
Campers will explore the art of the musical and create a full musical production for family and friends.
5-7 Year Olds:  Jack and the Beanstalk
8-11 Year Olds:  The Environmental Show
12-17 Year Olds:  Into the Woods Junior

Session V:  August 2-6
Drama-Rama Fairy Tales (for students 5-11)
Learn the basics of theatre while creating your own production for family and friends utilizing a fairy tale theme.

On-Camera Acting (for students 12-17)
Learn the basics of on-camera acting by performing film scenes and commercials.

Session VI:  August 9-12
Shakespeare’s a Blast (for students 5-17)
Campers will have a blast exploring the Bard and learn to “Speak the speech, I pray you.”

Session VII:  August 16-20
Drama-Rama, Heroes (for students 5-11)
Learn the basics of theatre while creating your own production for family and friends utilizing a hero theme.

Introduction to Theatrical Design (for students 12-17)
Students will learn the basics of set and costume design.
