American Stage "After Hours" Series

Sunday, June 19 at 8pm
(plastic spoons will be provided)
Throwing plastic spoons, wearing tuxedos, Johnny look-a-like contest, tossing footballs and shouting at the screen! Sounds like a bad night at the movies! Come see what the fuss is all about! The Room, an interactive cult classic film was made in 2003 and is quickly becoming the "Rocky Horror" of our generation. Look it up... google it, but more importantly witness if for yourself. It must be seen to be believed. The Room has been cited by some critics as one of the worst films ever made, and has been called "the Citizen Kane of bad movies." After a brief run in Los Angeles, the film went on to develop a cult following and continues to have midnight screenings around the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. Many lines of dialogue are dubbed with the audio often not synching to the mouth movements onscreen. The film is rife with continuity errors, inconsistent plots, subplots and character details that are introduced, then instantly abandoned…which only adds to the hilarity.
Tickets prices are “Pay-What-You-Can” (suggested $5-$15) at the door and $15 in advance.
