SUMMER CAMP 2026
Be curious. Be creative. Be YOU! At American Stage, we provide a quality performing arts education in a positive and empowering environment giving young people the tools to be fearless, focused, and flexible on stage and in life. Studying theatre does not only help students become accomplished and confident performers and communicators, it also strengthens creative, intellectual, and emotional growth.
All experience levels are welcome! We believe in fostering an accessible environment that encourages a sense of belonging, curiosity, and collaboration. Our teaching artist staff consists of working theatre professionals who have a passion for teaching, and are trained in key methodologies, cultural competency, and inclusion.
THE JUNE KIDS CAMP!
In June, our campers aged 5–11 will be able to choose from different themes each week, including Dancing, Musical Theatre, Puppetry and Comedy.

THE JULY MUSICAL INTENSIVE CAMP!
This July, we will introduce 2-week Musical Intensive camps for our 8-11 age groups, and a 4-week Musical Production camp of 'Into the Woods Jr.' for our 12-17 age groups. During these camps, students will have a rotating schedule where they focus on the fundamentals of a different skill, which they then utilize during their rehearsal process. Performances for these camps will take place on our mainstage at American Stage.
Ages 8-11
In our 2-week camps, students will create a 30-minute piece made up of scenes and songs centered around the theme of the camp.

Financial Aid for Summer Camp 2026 is now available. To be considered for financial aid, please complete the entire application. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received.
Stagecraft Week: Muppet Madness!: Creating Your Own Characters (Ages 5 - 7)
"The mind of a child is a beginner's mind and, for them, every idea is fresh, stimulating and leads somewhere special and surprising." - Kermit the Frog. In this session, students will learn fundamental puppetry construction, and use their bodies, voices, and imagination to bring their unique character to life!
Mystery Week: Little Detectives (Ages 5 - 7)
A mystery is afoot! Will the mystery be solved in time? Will we be able to crack the case? Elementary, my dear! In this week-long session, students will discover their inner super-sleuth and work together to craft an original, mystery story!
Magic, Wizards, and Witches Week: Mystical Tales of Magical Creatures: (Ages 5-7)
Fantastic beasts? We got ‘em! Where to find them? Right here in this camp session! In this magic-filled adventure, students will use their imaginations, bodies, and voices to create unique creatures and characters to tell their own story with!
Summer Camp Epic Adventures Week: Dance Party Around The World (Ages 5-7)
Bailamos! Balliamo! Lass uns tanzen! This week-long dance party is GLOBAL! In this session, students will learn about a variety of musical and dance stylings from various cultures around the world.
Magic, Wizards, and Witches Week: The Sorcerer's Apprentices (Ages 8 - 12)
This session is perfect for artists who enjoy coloring outside the lines. In this session, students will craft characters that boldly go where no child has gone before! Wizards, Sorcerers, and Magic, OH MY!
Stagecraft Week: A Whole New World: Set, Props, and Puppets! (Ages 8 - 12)
Students will unleash their creativity, and physical performance styles as they learn the fundamentals to puppetry construction, various crafting, and performance.
Mystery Week: A Night at the Museum Mystery (Ages 8-12)
Unleash your inner detective and dive into a week-long mystery-solving session. This session will put curious future sleuths to the test! Young actors will explore suspenseful scene-work, and learn the elements and secrets of the mystery-theater genre.
Summer Camp Epic Adventures Week: Exploring World Wonders (Ages 8 - 12)
Space, Sea, and Time have known no bounds. In this section, students will learn how to collaborate to create an imaginative & unique story of Epic Proportions. We endeavor to guide students through the creation of unique and transformative characters.
Mystery Week: Unsolved Mysteries of Nevermore Academy (Ages 13 - 18)
Creepy? Kooky? Haunted? Spooky? We think you’re going to love it here. Join us for this ‘Wednesday’-inspired session where we devise our own mysteries and create our own characters within the world of Nevermore Academy.
Summer Camp: Musical Camp (Ages 13-18)
Based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, Disney's Descendants: The Musical is a brand-new musical jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the films!
Students will work with teaching artists to perform a full one act musical of this fun and fresh story.
