Parking & Accessibility

Where Can I Park? How Much Does It Cost?

  • Sundial/MidCore Parking Garage:  Entrance located at 117 2nd Street N, 2 blocks from the theatre.
  • 2nd Avenue N Public Parking Lot:  Gravel lot located at 231 2nd Avenue N, across the street from the theatre.
  • Street parking:  Available along 1st and 2nd Avenues N and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Streets N.  Metered hours vary.
  • Handicapped Parking: Available on 2nd Avenue N across the street from the theatre.
  • Drop-Off/Loading Parking:  15-minute parking available on 3rd Street N directly in front of theatre.

From Tampa

  • I-275 South to Exit 22/I-175
  • I-175 East to Dali Blvd.
  • Straight on Dali Blvd to 3rd Street
  • Left on 3rd Street to 2nd Avenue North (7 blocks)

From Sarasota/Bradenton

  • I-275 North to Exit 22/I-175
  • I-175 East to Dali Blvd.

Tickets

Is tHERe a service fee for purchasing tickets to events at American Stage?

For tickets purchased either online, by phone, or in person, a service fee of $3.00 per ticket will be applied.

How do i reach the box office for american stage?

  • The Box Office at American Stage is immediately inside the 3rd Street N entrance of the St. Petersburg College building, located at 163 3rd Street N in St. Petersburg.
  • The Box Office can be reached by phone by calling 727.823.7529.
  • Hours of operation are 12pm—4pm Tuesday through Friday, and two (2) hours prior to performance time on event dates.

Can I exchange my tickets for a different date?

Yes!  You may request a new performance date by contacting the Box Office at American Stage at least 24 hours in advance of your original ticket date.  Updated tickets may be picked up from the Box Office.  Please contact the Box Office at 727.823.7529 for more information.

can i view a seating chart for american stage before purchasing my tickets?

Performances

Will i be seated if i'm late?

Due to the intimate structure of our Mainstage theatre, late arrivals can be disruptive to the performers and to other patrons.  Patrons arriving after the start of the performance will be seated at the least-disruptive time, at the discretion of the House Manager.  Please note that seats are only guaranteed until the scheduled curtain time. Late-comers may be seated in a location different than displayed on their tickets and/or asked to watch the performance on lobby monitors until intermission.

Does American stage have a policy about cell phones and cameras?

Yes.  Cameras are not permitted inside our Mainstage theatre, and flash photography is prohibited during events held in our Lobby.  Cell phones, which can be distracting in both spaces, must be silenced prior to the start of the performance.

is there a dress code enforced at american stage performances?

No!  At American Stage you will see people dressed in a range from casual to dressy.  You are encouraged to dress in a way that makes you feel most comfortable.

Are children permitted at american stage performances?

It is recommended that you inquire with about a show’s advisories or age-appropriateness, through the American Stage Box Office at 727.823.7529.

can i be contacted during a performance in case of emergency?

Yes. If you need to remain available to sitters or relatives while you attend a performance, please leave them the number of our Box Office (727.823.7529) as well as your seat number(s) and the name your tickets were purchased under.

Getting Involved

what, and when, are post-performance talk-backs?

Post-performance talk-backs are opportunities for you and other audience members to have a moderated discussion with the cast of the play about questions you might have thought during the performance about the play or the production.  They are held after select performances of each play—check our calendar for dates.

Can i host an event at american stage?

Possibly!  Please contact the American Stage Development Department at 727.823.1600 x 203 for details and availability.

can i advertise my business in your playbill?

Can i volunteer for american stage?
